Great Gluten-Free Pizza in Many Virginia Locations

Z Pizza is probably our family's favorite pizza place, but until
just a couple weeks ago, our son with Celiac couldn't share in
the experience. So we'd get some takeout pizzas and make his
g-f version at home. So you can imagine how excited we were
when we learned that Z Pizza was starting to offer g-f pizza at
all their locations (founded in Laguna Beach back in 1986, they
now have locations in 16 states on the East Coast, West Coast,
and a few states in between). This just happened last month,
and we were finally able to try the g-f pizza last night. What a
wonderful experience!! Our family now has a favorite g-f pizza,
as well as a favorite regular pizza...all available from Z Pizza!

On top of the g-f pizza being delicious (our son devoured 5 out
of 6 slices of the 10-inch thin crust pizza on his own...only
allowing me 1 piece to taste), Z Pizza professes to be a "lighter,
healthier" pizza. They use skim mozzarella, making it lower in
fat, and their other ingredients are high quality. The tomato
sauce is organic, the pepperoni is MSG-free, and the sausage is
additive-free. All of their fresh toppings are gluten-free, so you
can order ANYTHING on your pizza. They are also careful about
cross-contamination. Even though the g-f pizza is baked in the
same oven as all their other pizzas, they bake it on a pan and
use a clean spatula to remove the pizza. Then they put it
directly in the cardboard box and use a clean pizza cutter to cut
it.

Another great thing is that the gluten-free pizza is the same
price as the regular pizza -- no surcharge! It is only available in
the 10-inch size, however. Our son ordered the plain cheese,
but my personal favorites (again, these are all available on g-f
crust) are the Provence, Casablanca, and Tuscan Mushroom.
They have a lot of varieties similar to California Pizza
Kitchen...Mexican, Thai, Sante Fe...and of course the usual
"standards." They also have soy cheese available for anyone
who needs to avoid dairy. Their menu also includes salads, as
well as sandwiches and pastas for gluten-eaters!
