At last a large pizza chain with excellent gluten free pizza. Although UNO has had a delicious gluten free menu for two years pizza was not included until a few months ago. Unos test marketed their pizza in the Northeast with a projected roll out date of 6 months. Due to the overwhelming response they have included the pizza in all of their locations as of January 20, 2009, way ahead of schedule. Of course I would call ahead in other locations to be sure pizza is included. The pizza dough is made off site and completed on site in a seperate area of the kitchen. There are two thin crust choices, Mozzarella Cheese with Tomato sauce and Pepperoni, Mozzarella Cheese with Tomato sauce. I tried both pizzas and loved them both. The pizza has been so popular that the Framingham location is scheduled to be featured on NECN TV dinner review by Billy Costa Tuesday, January 27th to be aired at a later date.
